Got a couple recent additions to my wrist collection.
Picked up a tool watch while I'm doing demo around the house and projects so if anything happens to it I wont cry. Yes, another Orient but the value on these watches really can't be beat. For a mere $150 the Ray II provides a sturdy rotating bezel, day/ date, in house movement, 200M, automatic, screw down crown with guard and very legible lume.
Also I ordered this a while back but it arrived fairly recently.
Once upon a time(no pun intended) The military was testing out using the Bulova prototype A-15 to be a issued time piece for the Airforce because there were complaints about the Type-11 being hard to determine elapsed time and also complaints of legibility.
It has dual rotating inner bezel which are super cool for the following reasons:
1. They just fucking are
2. The 1-12 can be used as GMT function
3. The 5-55 can be used to measure minute duration
4. Using them both for time duration can also give you hour plus minute time duration!
5. Because stone cold said so
Anywho. It never got pushed into adoption so it remained a prototype until the suits ad Bulova were looking for some new way to make money and brought it out of retirement. Which works for me cause I think it's neato!
